Our spacious, purpose-built cattery set in a peaceful, tree and bird filled garden, was opened December 2003 and is known as a semi-communal boarding facility.
Essentially this means that each cat has a separate cage with hammock, fluffy bed, litter tray, food and water at night but during the day is free in a shared communal situation, during the day. Each evening they are put to bed in their cages and let out in the morning. In the cattery they can play, snooze or just relax on benches in the sun, play in the cat tunnels, chat to the birds or scratch the cat furniture.
Monitoring forms are filled in each morning; recording food and water consumption, toileting and anything else of note as well as the general demeanour of the individual. All our cattery staff are well versed on the signs of ill health or stress and the nurses and vets are on hand should a concern arise.
Our vaccination protocol is strict, to endeavour to maintain the best possible environment for the health of our boarders. Therefore, vaccinations must be current and up to date.
We also require up-to-date flea treatment and worming, however, we are happy to administer these on arrival if necessary; nail clipping is another popular request.
Our cattery staff: Paige, Wynona, Jodie and Rosie are all enthusiastic cat lovers committed to caring for your cat and making their stay as positive and happy as possible.
Our nurses care for the boarders on the weekday mornings and oversee the day to day running of the cattery ensuring high standards are maintained.
